Ryan DePaulo “Degenerate Gambler” busted onto the scene about a year ago with his poker slash parkour videos on YouTube. Ryan is a Manhattan, New York resident who travels to Las Vegas casinos and to select casinos in New Jersey. His videos involve showing him and his friends as degenerate gamblers that are hopelessly addicted and play any game at the casino to attempt to win something. They’re frequently in the red.

Because there isn’t ANY funny poker player doing vlogs, Ryan’s is essential watching just to lighten it up a bit. I mean, A LOT. How many times have you cracked a smile at a Poker Player’s Vlog? Yeah, me neither, until Ryan rolled up. The guy is witty and funny as hell at times. Here’s one.

At the 61st WSOP Event at the Colossus in 2019, Ryan grabbed 3rd place and cashed $208,000 USD. It was outrageous because he doesn’t have the background, he just came into some fantastic river cards (and hands altogether). Watch the video series below, there are 3 videos, to see how Ryan cashed huge in the 2019 WSOP.

Ryan’s videos are a mix of college humor type situations and commentary and sometimes he even throws in some reviewing his poker hands occasionally. Ryan recently cashed in a tournament massively for over $200,000 and has ramped up his online poker tournament playing and traveling. Ryan recently mentioned paying a private poker coach $5,000 to crank up his EV.

Ryan was recently banned for life from playing at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The Borgata was allowing him to shoot his vlog in the casino for months off and on and then dropped the hammer. Ryan’s October 18th Vlog shows what happened. Now there is a Boycott Borgata Initiative among some of the players like Jeff Boski.

Ryan is at odds with that guy who wears tank tops in all his vlogs. I can’t recall his name at the moment, but it will come to me. Ryan attempted to speak to the guy a couple of times during a tournament and the guy gave him stupid responses. Ryan mentions him in the negative as much as possible. I seriously can’t come up with his name because I haven’t enjoyed his YT Vlogs at all. [Dug Polk]

Since his Cash at the WSOP Tournament, Ryan appears to be playing more tournaments, and has cashed at some. It appears he was comped to play in a $5,000 entry tournament at America’s Cardroom in Costa Rica. Jeff Boski was in the tournament as well.
